「黒のカンカン帽が欲しい」という声から生まれた、特別なプロダクト。
通常のカンカン帽は〈花麦〉という素材を用いますが、この素材は黒に染まらず、このままでは実現が叶いません。そこでデザイナーは高級素材〈パナマ〉に着目。しかしパナマは柔らかいため、今度はカンカン帽特有の硬さが出せません。

そこで、私たちは異素材の2種類の帽子を制作し、それをドッキングする独自の構造に挑戦。表にはパナマ、裏には硬さを持つ〈ナントクソウ〉を組み合わせることで、エレガンスと剛健さを両立させました。

結果として、パナマならではの高級感と、カンカン帽が持つクラシックな存在感を融合。HICOSAKAだからこそ叶うラグジュアリーな一品です。

An elegant boater hat that elevates your summer style.

Born from the request for a “black boater hat,” this special piece pushes the boundaries of what was once thought impossible.
Traditionally, boater hats are crafted from hanamugi straw, a material that cannot be dyed black—making the creation of such a hat unattainable. The designer instead turned to the luxurious material of Panama. Yet, Panama’s softness posed a new challenge: how to achieve the stiffness characteristic of a true boater.

To solve this, we crafted two hats from different materials and combined them in an original docking construction. The exterior is made of Panama, while the interior incorporates nantokusō, a rigid material that restores the firmness essential to the boater’s silhouette.

The result is a hat that merges the refined luxury of Panama with the timeless presence of the boater. A truly sophisticated piece made possible only by HICOSAKA’s craftsmanship.
