まず語るべきは素材。厚手のモールスキンストレッチに、試行錯誤の末に辿り着いた深いスエード起毛を施し、さらに毛足を丁寧にカットして揃えることで、重厚でありながらもしなやかな風合いを成立させている。滑らかなタッチと端正な表面感を併せ持つ、冬素材として完成度の高いテキスタイル。

この素材を落とし込んだのは、かつて飛行機やバイクの操縦士が着用していた飛行帽をルーツに持つアビエーターキャップ。防寒具としての合理性を備えたこの形を、HICOSAKAの視点で再解釈し、過度な装飾を削ぎ落とすことで、現代のスタイルに自然に馴染む佇まいへと昇華している。

最大の特徴であるイヤーフラップ部分には、耳裏にエコファーを使用。冷気を遮断し、耳元をやさしく包み込む構造は、冬の屋外でも確かな安心感をもたらす。フラップを下ろした防寒モードと、上げてすっきりと被るスタイルの切り替えにより、表情の変化も楽しめる設計。

A heavyweight moleskin stretch, finished with a deep suede nap arrived at through extensive trial — then carefully clipped and levelled to reconcile weight with suppleness. The result is a textile of genuine winter completeness: smooth to the touch, composed on the surface, substantial without heaviness.
Into this material, an aviator cap — a form rooted in the helmets once worn by pilots and motorcyclists. A shape defined by its practical logic as cold-weather protection.
